Earl Annecston Left Us On June 30, 2013- A Life Well Spent

Yesterday afternoon Elena and I found ourselves at a new and state of the art assisted living center for senior citizens. The monthly rent is $5,400. It looks like a luxury apartment building. We were served gourmet food. We were in the company of political dignitaries like State Senator Jerry Hill, former State Assemblywoman Fiona MA, Milbrae Mayor Gina Pappin, Richard Holober, etc. It was all to honor a very special man who literally gave unselfishly to many causes and individuals. To Elena and I Earl was a second father and a beloved man. We always focused on his work on the 1970’s television series The Streets of San Francisco, Earl actually worked on the crew. We would kid him that he really was an actor who played a bad guy. We would say to him:”Every few episodes either Michael Douglas or Karl Malden would arrest you.” Earl truly looked like a bad guy despite his wonderful heart and generous nature. Early stayed 87 years here on earth. He did a lot of good and helped many people. We will deeply miss him.

About tatamkuluafrica

I am a man who has lived n 6 of the 7 continents. I first arrived in Africa on April 18, 1981. Africa has been a part of my life since. I spent 8 months living in a Xhosa village in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. I was given he nickname Tatamkulu Africa. In Xhosa it means "Grandfather Africa." In April of 1994 I was allowed to vote in the first democratic election in South Africa..I was honored to be part of such a historical moment. It was a beautiful and a magical day.
